Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav praised his bowlers for their strong fight in the second T20I, even though they lost by three wickets to South Africa on Sunday. He especially appreciated spinner Varun Chakravarthy, who took five wickets for the first time and brought India back into the game. However, India couldn’t keep control in the last overs and lost the match.

The 33-year-old spinner trapped the South African batters, bringing their score down to 66 for 6 while they chased 125 runs. But Tristan Stubbs (47*) and Gerald Coetzee (19*) helped South Africa win in 19 overs.
The Indian captain said Varun put in a lot of hard work, and getting five wickets in a tough match like this is amazing for any bowler.

"In a T20 match, taking five wickets while defending 125 runs is incredible. He’s worked very hard for this, and he was ready for this moment. Everyone enjoyed his performance—it was brilliant," Suryakumar said after the match.
The Indian batters found it hard to score on a bouncy pitch and ended up with 126/4 in 20 overs. Axar Patel (27) helped steady the innings by making key partnerships, adding 30 runs with Tilak Varma (20) and 25 runs with Hardik Pandya. However, South Africa kept control by taking wickets often.
