The International Cricket Council (ICC) has sent the Champions Trophy to Pakistan for a national tour, even though there is still uncertainty about the tournament's schedule and format. The silver trophy arrived in Islamabad on November 14 and will be taken across the country from November 16 to November 24.

The trophy tour includes stops in Murree, Hunza, Muzaffarabad, and Skardu. In a special highlight, it will be taken to K2, the world's second-highest mountain, known for its challenging climb. Although K2 is famously dangerous, it is considered safer from Pakistan's side compared to the Chinese side.
However, the trophy tour will skip the cities of Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi due to ongoing smog issues. Instead, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the government want to use this opportunity to promote tourism by taking the trophy to scenic locations in the country.

Meanwhile, there has been no update on the tournament schedule. India has refused to tour Pakistan, and the PCB has asked the ICC for clarification on India’s position. Pakistan has rejected the "hybrid model," which would have allowed Pakistan to host, while India played their matches in a neutral location.

Despite the deadlock, there is hope that a solution can be reached soon, allowing the tournament's details to be finalized. A former PCB chairman suggested using "back-channel talks" and urged Nawaz Sharif to reach out to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi directly. He believes Pakistan could lose the most if the situation is not resolved, making this issue critical for all involved.
