This news came shortly after India’s big win in the first Test match at the Optus Stadium in Perth. India beat Australia by 295 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the 5-match series. The victory also boosts India’s chances of reaching the World Test Championship final.
The Indian team will travel to Canberra on Wednesday for a two-day practice match with the pink ball. Gautam Gambhir will not join the team for this match, which starts on Saturday. The team is getting ready for the day-night Test in Adelaide, where they will face a strong Australian pace attack.
